Peripheral Blood CD3+ Pan T Cells, Frozen
Human T cells are lymphocytes that are generally characterized by the expression of CD3 on the cell surface. These cells originate in the bone marrow, migrate to the thymus to undergo maturation, and are one of the key cell types involved in cell-mediated immunity. T cells are involved in destroying invading organisms and also aid in the activation of B cells through the thymus-dependent response. There are several different subsets of T cells, including helper T cells (naïve and memory), cytotoxic T cells (naïve and memory), regulatory T cells (Tregs) and natural killer T (NKT) cells.
Human peripheral blood CD3+ pan T cells are selected from the mononuclear cell fraction by means of negative selection. Cells expressing CD14, CD16, CD19, CD20, CD36, CD56, CD66b, CD123, and CD235a are depleted from the mononuclear cell population using immunomagnetic particles leaving purified, untouched CD3+ pan T cells. Isolated cells are characterized by flow cytometry before cryopreservation to ensure a highly pure and viable cell population.
