We value the relationships we have built with our clients and want to share what StemExpress is doing to screen for compromised donations due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Recognizing the ongoing and increased uncertainty that coronavirus (COVID-19) is causing around the world, our highest priority is the health and well-being of our employees and clients. With that in mind, we wanted to update you on the actions we have taken in response to the outbreak.
In addition to the routine health and safety standard procedures in our collection centers, we have heightened daily efforts to sanitize our centers and outgoing products. We have also added additional screening of all donors by running a CBC to check for elevated white blood cell counts before completing the donation.
Additionally, we have added:
● Upfront screening questions for every blood and tissue donor
● New blood tests have been added for all donors prior to any collection
● Same day complete blood count (CBC) of all donors
● Internal and external protocol advancement
We do not want this crisis to reduce the momentum on crucial research, therefore if you have additional concerns or additional screening you would like to see, we are able to meet your needs. As a reminder, we have six independent sites spread out across the United States. This allows us to divert orders to any site based on the best needs of our clients and to keep with the quality and reliability that you expect.
