Peripheral Blood CD19+ B Cells, Fresh

Human B cells are lymphocytes that are characterized by the expression of CD19 on the cell surface. These cells are one of the main cell types involved in the humoral immune response. Upon activation, due to an encounter with an antigen, B cells will act as antigen-presenting cells (APCs), make antibodies against foreign antigens, and develop into memory B cells or plasma cells.
Human peripheral blood CD19+ B cells are isolated from the mononuclear cell fraction by means of negative selection. Cells expressing CD2, CD3, CD14, CD16, CD36, CD43, CD56, CD66b, and CD235a are depleted from the mononuclear cell population using immunomagnetic particles leaving purified, untouched CD19+ B cells. Isolated cells are characterized by flow cytometry to ensure a highly pure and viable cell population.
*Our CD19+ B Cells are isolated by means of negative selection. However, we do offer the isolation of CD19+ B cells by positive selection as a custom order. Please inquire to obtain pricing for the positive selection of CD19+ B cells.
Cells were obtained using Institutional Review Board (IRB) approved consent forms and protocols.
