Whole Blood, Fresh, Na-Heparin

Blood is a specialized bodily fluid that contains red blood cells, white blood cells, plasma, and platelets. It is essential for transporting nutrients, oxygen, and waste as well as fighting infection and regulating body temperature.
Whole human peripheral blood is collected in a sterile collection bag containing the anticoagulant Na-heparin. There is approximately 1 mL Na-heparin per 450 mL draws.
Blood was obtained using Institutional Review Board (IRB) approved consent forms and protocols.
