Whole Cord Blood, Fresh, CP2D
Blood is a specialized bodily fluid that contains red blood cells, white blood cells, plasma, and platelets. It is essential for transporting nutrients, oxygen, and waste as well as fighting infection and regulating body temperature. Umbilical cord blood is the remaining blood found in the umbilical cord after childbirth. It is a rich source of hematopoietic stem cells.
Human umbilical cord blood is needle aspirated from the umbilical cord vein using a sterile collection bag containing the anticoagulant citrate phosphate double dextrose (CP2D).
Collected from IRB consented donors.
